DUTIES: Maintains all records for affiliate pension plan contributions including reconciling monthly contribution receipts to bank statements and following up on delinquencies.  Reviews affiliate reports on a monthly basis in processing new enrollments into the pension plan, updating enrollment information and pension records as appropriate.  Reconciles and keys into the pension database participant pension contributions and other information on an annual basis.  May be requested to run simple reports to review and reconcile data.  Files correspondence, benefit records, and other documents in participant files and maintains and updates the benefit files of active, terminated, retired and deceased employees.  Maintains and updates all files on International sponsored benefit plans including address records (Pension, 401(k), health) for active and retired participants and notifies vendors of address changes.  Prepares notices and maintains records on employees/dependents eligible for COBRA coverage.  Processes enrollments and terminations in the Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance plan and reconciles the annual premium payment.  Notifies International payroll department and affiliate representatives of those Salary Savings Plan participants who have taken loans or whose loans have been paid off or re-amortized.  Prepares annual billing statements and tracks premium payments for retiree life insurance coverage.  Maintains off-sight inventory records and orders departmental supplies and benefit plan materials from vendors and providers as necessary.  Distributes departmental mail and answers telephone.  Prepares special departmental mailings as necessary.  Prepares, reviews, compiles and drafts complex documents and/or correspondence using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access databases (from creation to queries to reports).  Proofreads and edits correspondence and documents, paying attention to details, as well as grammar and punctuation with the ability to successfully complete mail merges.  Assists with other departmental functions and other special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent and three to five years of office experience or combination of education and experience to provide the following knowledge, skills and abilities:  ability to communicate information effectively both orally and in writing, including proofreading and editing skills; mathematics skills sufficient to perform calculations; proficiency in the use of PCs and strong skills using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint; database skills sufficient to maintain records and generate reports; knowledge of general office equipment and office and organizational procedures; attention to detail required; capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and be a highly motivated self-starter.  Overtime may be required.
