Caribbean Cruises via AFSCME Advantage

One of the first things that New York City public health nurse Lori Lam did when she returned from a recent cruise to the Caribbean was to send an e-mail thanking her union for helping make the trip possible. Her portal to adventure was AFSCME Advantage, a benefit available to members that offers so much more.

"I got a great deal using my union benefits!" wrote Lam, a member of Local 436 (DC 37) who is employed by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. "How wonderful it is sailing out of New York. I am so rested and ready to be a public servant once again. Thank you NCL [Norwegian Cruise Line] and NYC DC 37!"

Booking a similar cruise is just a call (or link) away: Visit Union Plus Travel Center. AFSCME members and their families can save money not only on vacation packages but also on such products and services as low-interest credit cards, life and auto insurance, home mortgages and legal help.

These are all provided by Union Plus, an AFL-CIO program available to AFSCME members through AFSCME Advantage. For more information, call 1-800-238-2539 or consult the Web site, as noted above.
