Here at AFSCME we wear green all year round, but today the whole world is getting into our color scheme. St. Patrick’s Day is a celebration of Irish heritage. But that doesn’t mean we can’t support American workers when we prepare for the occasion.

Labor 411 compiled a helpful list of union-made beverages and snacks that can help you get in the spirit. Their website is a valuable resource for finding American-made products all year.

Killian’s Irish Red Ale and Mickey’s Malt Liquor are two Irish-themed brews made with American union labor. If you’re a teetotaler, O’Doul’s Non-Alcoholic or Schweppes Ginger Ale are union-made, too. And don’t forget the green food coloring, made in the USA by Betty Crocker.

Of course, St. Patrick’s Day should be safe and fun for everyone. There’s no better way to show solidarity than to be a designated driver.
