New AFL-CIO Website Puts Workers Front and Center

by Patricia Guadalupe  |  March 01, 2012

aflcio.orgThe AFL-CIO today rolled out a newly designed website that focuses on the backbone of our country: the hard-working women and men who keep America running.

The website offers several new features, including Take Action and Innovators, where visitors can contact members of Congress, sign petitions and mobilize using social media. It also features the latest news about what workers are doing in their communities to fight for the rights of the working middle class. The website’s interactive section, Work Connects Us All, highlights the value and role of every worker in the American economy and demonstrates how when working people have a voice, it improves the quality of everything from public safety to children’s education.

The AFL-CIO Now blog is now connected to Facebook and Twitter, and the site brings back the popular CEO PayWatch page.

The new website has also been updated in Spanish, and highlights the union’s work with low-wage and immigrant communities, among others.
