New Online Course: Respect in the Workplace

by Kate Childs Graham  |  October 05, 2012

Respect in the WorkplaceWe know that a positive, respectful workplace is best for everyone. Yet, more than one in three workers have experienced bullying or harassment on the job.

As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And so it is with harassment. Prevention is the best tool to eliminate harassment in the workplace.

That’s why AFSCME’s Online Leadership Academy has a new online, OnDemand course for members called “Respect in the Workplace.” This course provides an introduction to a sample harassment policy.  It outlines what constitutes harassment, including sexual harassment, and a hostile work environment. You will also learn how to identify, respond and report unacceptable conduct in the workplace.

This OnDemand course is available 24/7 and can be reviewed or completed at your own pace. Take it today, and start preventing harassment in your workplace! If you’re new to the Online Leadership Academy, click here to get started. Returning users can click here to login.
