AFSCME Pres. Lee Saunders joined Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Pres. Mary Kay Henry and International Brotherhood of Teamsters Pres. Jim Hoffa on PBS NewsHour in Charlotte last night to discuss the state of the U.S. labor movement and the importance of the upcoming Presidential election.
“If you heard what was said in that Republican Convention last week, they were attacking labor,” Saunders told co-anchors Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff. “They were attacking working families. They were attacking the middle class. We have got to coalesce with our allies. And we have got to fight back.”
