Special Webinar: President Obama's Budget

AFSCME, in conjunction with the Coalition on Human Needs and several other progressive organizations, will hold a free online workshop this Thursday, March 5th, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm ET titled "President Obama's Budget: The Path to Rebuild and Renew America Now." The webinar will show how the President's budget would invest in health care, renewable energy, education and more, laying a new foundation for growth that benefits us all. The budget makes an important – make that historic – down payment on renewing opportunities for Americans to join the middle class and be protected from poverty. Participants will learn about the transformational choices in the budget, including a long-term plan to pay for the investments we need by raising revenues from those who can afford to pay and by cutting waste in the military and elsewhere. And we'll also introduce a new campaign to support the President's responsible budget priorities – a campaign that needs your help. The webinar is co-sponsored by organizations including the Coalition on Human Needs, Health Care for America Now, National Immigration Forum, National Women's Law Center, and US Action.
