To make sure employees get paid for actual hours worked, the U.S. Department of Labor has released a free smartphone application that allows workers to keep track of their own work hours, break times, overtime pay and wages. Instead of relying on company records, employees can now maintain their own timesheets and accurately determine wages earned.
The application, and a work-hours calendar (both available in English and Spanish) will give employees the ability to make sure employers don’t deny them their hard-earned wages. They can be downloaded from the Wage and Hour Division’s website at http://dol.gov/whd.
