An attack on workers in one state is an attack on every worker. This is why the nationwide outpouring of support for public service workers in Wisconsin continues to grow.

Washington was the latest state to prove this as 2,000 members of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE, AFSCME Council 28) and other union activists descended on the rotunda of the state Capitol in Olympia on Monday to show solidarity with the struggle in Wisconsin.

As WFSE Pres. Carol Dolitch said:

“If [Wisconsin Governor] Scott Walker gets his way, other governors may be deluded into thinking that collective bargaining is a threat and they may advocate tyranny over talking. The reality is, those in power from Wisconsin to Washington want to blame you, the working people, for the budget mess.”
