Health Care
The American health care system is spiraling into crisis. We have a system that is characterized by high costs, uneven quality and limited access. AFSCME has been an acknowledged leader in the movement for meaningful reform to address these problems which are posing a grave threat to the economic security of most workers. Affordability of benefits, quality of health care services, and coverage for all is a basic human right that must be recognized and fulfilled.
