Two New Yorkers Installed as AFSCME International Vice Presidents

LAS VEGAS, NV — 

Charles Ensley, Local 371 President of District Council 37 and District Council 1707 Executive Director Raglan George have been installed as International Vice Presidents to represent Councils 37 and 1707 on the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, (AFSCME), AFL-CIO, International Executive Board.

AFSCME, the parent union of District Councils 37 and 1707, represents over 1.3 million state, county and municipal workers nationwide. Ensley and Raglan will fill vacancies in two legislative districts — the New York City District Council 37 Legislative District and the New York State District respectively.

Charles Ensley and George Raglan were nominated without opposition during the AFSCME International Convention in Las Vegas and therefore declared elected. Ensley will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of James Butler, while Raglan George will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Josephine LeBeau.
