Former President Bill Clinton and Rainbow/PUSH President the Rev. Jesse Jackson to Address AFSCME Convention in Anaheim on Friday, June 25

Anaheim, CA — 

Former President Bill Clinton and Rainbow/PUSH Coalition President the Rev. Jesse Jackson will be the final speakers as the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), concludes its largest convention ever. Rev. Jackson will address members at 10:00 a.m., at the Anaheim Convention Center located at 800 West Katella Avenue

President Clinton, will address 5,000 members at the union’s 36th International Convention. The AFSCME convention is one of several stops on Clinton’s nationwide tour to promote his new book My Life.

Thursday’s session featured an address from Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. The address was viewed by 5,000 AFSCME members attending the convention, 2,000 activists at 18 events across the country and another 25,000 members joined the AFSCME Convention to watch Senator Kerry’s address via satellite and webcast.

AFSCME is the nation’s fastest growing public service employees union with 1.4 million members.
