AFSCME Nurses Address Health Care in the 21st Century, Staffing Crisis and Disaster Preparedness During Three-Day Conference
Washington —The American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) will hold its United Nurses of America (UNA) 9th National Nurses Congress May 5-8. More than 300 nurses from across the country are expected to attend the three-day conference at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill.
AFSCME President Gerald W. McEntee, Secretary-Treasurer William Lucy and Dr. Diane Mason, Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Nursing will be among the featured speakers.
UNA, the nursing branch of AFSCME is the voice of over 60,000 nurses.
