Safe Jobs Now: An AFSCME Guide to Health and Safety in the Workplace

This book is the perfect starting point for researching a wide variety of health and safety problems. It is hyperlinked to the applicable OSH standards as well as to other Web documents about the different health and safety issues. 

AFSCME Health and Safety Fact Sheets

AFSCME has produced fact sheets on a variety of health and safety topics. Again, these fact sheets are hyperlinked to the OSH standards and any other relevant materials. The fact sheets are also available in PDF format to print and distribute to your members.

OSHA Technical Links

Indexed alphabetically by subject, this site pulls together all OSHA publications and compliance materials related to a particular topic. Additional hyperlinks to external documents are available. 

NIOSH Safety and Health Topics

NIOSH has also organized the information on their Web site by topic. While it does not include the helpful annotations or the variety of topics of the OSHA Web site, this site can also help you to begin research on an occupational health issue.
