OSHA inspections are legally enforced so the employer is compelled to cooperate. NIOSH evaluations are intended primarily to research and remedy more complex health and safety problems, and cannot occur without the cooperation of the employer. OSHA Inspection Data

The OSHA Inspection Data may be searched by establishment name, by Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code to determine the problems for a particular industry or by the most frequently violated standards. A record will show contact information for the establishment, the nature of the violations, penalties and disposition. Additional helpful information includes the nature of ownership of the facility and whether it was unionized at the time the inspection took place.
