This booklet cannot possibly cover all the issues that will come up in every workplace. It is intended to address some of the most common problems that arise when a person with HIV disease is in the workplace. Other issues will certainly come up. When they do, don’t feel that you have to deal with it alone. Since 1981, more than 500,000 people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with AIDS and about a million people are believed to be infected with HIV. So there is already a lot of experience available to deal with almost any problem that can come up. Don’t delay in dealing with an HIV or AIDS issue; contact your local or council to get the information that you need. It’s there for the asking.
