The AFSCME Corrections Congress offers corrections workers from across the country a chance to learn and network in sunny, lively Austin, Texas. Spend a weekend talking to men and women working in your field; learning about federal legislation from AFSCME experts; and acquiring the skills you need to be an effective worker, leader and advocate. Workshops currently scheduled include: gang control, handling stress, sudden and in-custody death, women in corrections, and control of inmates.
