Tuberculosis Alert for AFSCME COs

Tuberculosis is a growing and potentially deadly problem in correctional institutions. ACU is collecting information from officers who have been exposed to TB at work.

Here's the kind of information that ACU is looking for:

1) How were the members exposed?
2) How did the institution handle the exposure?
3) Did anyone become infected or develop an active case?

This information will be used to develop policy recommendations to protect officers from exposure to TB and to make recommendations about how the Americans with Disabilities Act can protect workers who are a greatest risk.
