ILCA Award Winners!

WASHINGTON, D.C.

At a luncheon held here in mid-November, Public Employee won several International Labor Communications Association Journalism awards: first awards in different categories went to the “At Work” series, the “Profiles in Dignity” series and “Does Your Retirement Plan Add Up?” Also, Public Employee received an honorable mention for overall general excellence.

Our affiliates were big winners, too: Ohio Civil Service Employees Association/AFSCME Local 11; California Local 2626 (Council 36); Northern New England Council 93; and from New York — Local 154 (D.C. 37), Local 375 (D.C. 37), and Civil Service Employees Association/AFSCME Local 1000. D.C. 37’s Public Employee Press won more awards than any other AFSCME affiliate.
