Members of DC 1707 joined hundreds of Writers Guild picketers here, including actress Holly Hunter (center) during a November picket in front of Time-Warner headquarters. DC 37 members also walked the picket line. More than 12,000 members of the Writers Guild of America went on strike Nov. 5 over compensation issues, such as how much they are paid when movies and programs are aired on the Internet.
