In Behalf of Nursing Homes

AFSCME has joined with 15 other organizations in an effort to find solutions to the nursing-home staffing shortage. The new group, called the National Citizens' Coalition for Nursing Home Reform, brings together unions, providers, consumer advocates and health care professionals. AFSCME represents more than 33,000 nursing home employees, including registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and licensed practical nurses.
