1998 Summer Schools for Union Women
All union women — from new members to local stewards to council staff — are invited to the 1998 Regional Summer Schools for Union Women, sponsored by the University and College Labor Education Association, and the AFL-CIO Department of Education.
These weeklong, residential schools will give trade union women across the country a chance to network, and build their skills and confidence.
Many AFSCME councils and locals have sponsored members’ attendance in the past. The $350-$400 fee covers everything except transportation. Scholarships are also available through individual schools.
For general information, contact the AFSCME Women’s Rights Department at 1625 L St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036-5687 or (202) 429-5090.
