We Won't Be Fooled
Politically involved AFSCME members work to help their communities and fellow working Americans.
Ask corporate executives why they are involved in politics and they’ll tell you "to improve the business climate."
But whether they are writing a check for a candidate in a distant city or attending a $10,000-a-plate fundraiser, they have just one goal in mind: improve the corporate bottom line.
AFSCME members have different reasons for getting involved: They want to improve the lives of their families, their neighbors and their fellow workers right where they live. They may not have big bucks to throw around like corporate bigwigs, but they work hard — making phone calls, distributing leaflets, putting up signs — and they get results.
