Randy Perreira, executive director of the Hawaii Government Employees Association (HGEA)/AFSCME Local 152, has been elected an International vice president, becoming one of 32 IVPs on the union's executive board.
A native of Hilo, Hawaii, Perreira was elected as HGEA's fifth executive director in January, following the retirement of Russell Okata, who had served as an IVP since 1981.
“I am honored to be elected an International vice president,” says Perreira. “I look forward to working with the International board on issues that affect our members, and maintain AFSCME's standing as America's strongest union.”
