AFSCME Local 768 Pres./DC 37 Sec. Helen Greene and Local 420 Pres. James Butler have been elected International Vice Presidents to serve out the remaining 10 months of the four-year terms of former IVPs Stanley Hill and Al Diop.

Greene and Butler were elected at a special convention held at DC 37 headquarters in Manhattan Aug. 18.

AFSCME Pres. Gerald W. McEntee said the election marks a turning point for DC 37. “I look forward to working with the new International vice presidents,” he said. “I’m confident that as executive board members of the International Union they will fully represent the interests of our brothers and sisters in New York.”
