Bard in Carolina

ELIZABETH CITY, NORTH CAROLINA

The International Library of Poetry has bestowed on AFSCME retiree Franklin "Frankie" Kam two of its Editor's Choice awards for the year 2000.

Kam is a former steward of the Hawaii Government Employees Association and a current member of Retiree Chapter 152. He was honored for works entitled "Dragon" and "Hurricane Floyd." Kam has also published an anthology of poems, letters, photos and clippings entitled East Meets West.
