AFSCME Advantage Responds

The tragedy of Sept. 11 has had an impact on workers across the country. The AFSCME Advantage program is offering special assistance to participants financially affected by the attack, particularly those in states surrounding the New York and Virginia crash sites.

Credit cards 1-800-622-2580: Credit line increases will be liberalized; skip payments will be permitted; late payments will be backdated to preclude late fees. Loans 1-800-343-7097: Skip payments will be permitted; late payments back-dated.Mortgage 1-800-848-6466: Collection efforts will be suspended; flexibility will be exercised regarding late fees. Education loans 1-877-881-1022: Hardship deferrals may be granted to allow skip payments or debt forgiveness.
