For Ed: A Plaque and a Swan Boat

International Vice Pres. Edward Keller is obviously proud of a plaque dedicated in his honor by members of Philadelphia zoo workers' Local 752 (Council 47). They did so during the Convention's night at the zoo. Keller is executive director of Council 13, Pennsylvania's largest public employee and health care workers' union. The plaque dedicates the view overlooking Bird Lake in Keller's name — an appropriate tribute because Keller served as the first president of 752 and worked as a keeper at the birdhouse. He also received a less formal honor: A swan boat is now called "The Ed." Joining Keller is his wife, Janet.
