Graduation Day

Seven AFSCME members participated in June commencement celebrations at the George Meany Center for Labor Studies. Five were awarded their bachelor’s degrees from the National Labor College; two received their master’s from the University of Baltimore. The graduates are: Karleen George, organizing director, California Council 36; Serena Parks, Local 2401 (Council 20), Washington, D.C.; Stephen Veselka Jr., a custodial worker and member of Civil Service Employees Association/AFSCME Local 1000, New York; Brock Logan, staff representative, Washington Council 2; Rebecca Cuffman, vice president of Local 101 and a California Council 57 executive board member; Jill Kielblock (master’s), business representative, Minnesota Council 14; and Carla Insinga Minser (master’s), staff representative, Pennsylvania Council 88.
