Tammy Baldwin

OFFICE: U.S. Senate

A Record of Leadership for Wisconsin Workers

Now more than ever, Wisconsin needs leaders who respect the middle class and understand the everyday struggles of working people. This November, we can elect that kind of leader to the U.S. Senate — Tammy Baldwin.

Collective Bargaining

Tammy has been a strong ally of labor and working people. When Scott Walker stripped public sector employees of their collective bargaining rights, she was one of the first to publicly speak out. She stood firmly with Wisconsin’s workers when the Republicans assaulted their rights and she will continue to fight for the middle class in the U.S. Senate. [Press Release, 3/9/11]

Middle-Class Tax Cuts

Tammy believes that the key ingredient of American prosperity is a strong middle class. Because of this, she strongly supports targeting tax relief to middleclass workers instead of giving irresponsible tax breaks to millionaires. Tammy believes that tax cuts should first go to those who need it most: the American middle class. [Press Release, 8/1/12]

Affordable Health Care

Tammy believes that everyone should have access to health care regardless of their pre-existing conditions or income. Because of this belief, she fought to rein in the health insurance companies, making them provide coverage to people with pre-existing conditions. [H.R. 3590, Vote #165, 3/21/10]
