WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

AFSCME conference brings together legislators, top political figures and labor activists

Washington, DC — Tax cuts, privatization and other issues of importance to working families will be topics of discussion at the biennial legislative conference of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO. The two-day conference will be held March 26-27 at the Capital Hilton Hotel, Washington, DC.

The conference, SPEAK UP: IT'S UP TO US!, will provide a forum on legislative efforts aimed at improving the lives of working families and will chart the course of AFSCME's legislative agenda under the Bush administration. More than 500 labor activists and members will attend.
