Compensation is $1.619 million for the first year of the contract (1999-2000) and $1.718 million for the third and final year of the contract.

  •  Since the services are broken down differently it is difficult to compare the two contracts. However, the new contract indicates that the cost of additional buses is $190 per bus per day plus $50 for a monitor.

  • Cancelled days are now compensated 100 percent

Non-routine miles

A different price is quoted for each non-routine trip. The median cost of a field trip or athletic trip in 1994 is $85. The final year of the contract the median cost is $97, a 15 percent increase.
