Life Support: The Latest from Suzanne Gordon
Suzanne Gordon, noted author and keynote speaker at the UNA 11th National Nurses Congress in May, has a new book out. Life Support, Three Nurses on the Front Lines, describes the everyday work of three nurses in Boston and provides a “vivid, engaging and intimate portrait” of the nursing profession. The Washington Post’s review of the book reads in part, “Life Support belongs in the august company of Silent Spring, The Other America, The Feminine Mystique and other pivotal works with the power to shape the nation’s consciousness.”
Gordon’s address to AFSCME nurses elicited cheers, tears and a standing ovation! Life Support is sure to take its place alongside her other books, From Silence to Voice and Nursing Against the Odds, as a “must read” for every nurse.
