Part B Deductible to Rise

In the uproar over the new Medicare law's drug benefits and privatization features, one element often gets lost: The law also raises the Part B annual deductible. On January 1, 2005, the deductible will rise from $100 (where it's been since 1991) to $110. Every year after that, the deductible will rise annually by the same percentage as the Part B premium increase.
