Still Time to Sign Up for Yellowstone

In the last issue of PrimeTIME, we announced two exciting trips that the AFSCME Retiree Program is sponsoring with Elderhostel, the education and travel organization for older Americans. The New Orleans trip, scheduled for Jan. 25-30, was met with a lot of enthusiasm from AFSCME retirees, and is now fully subscribed. But there's still time to sign up for the Yellowstone Wildlife Safari, another exciting adventure, which is scheduled for this June.

Yellowstone Wildlife Safari
June 13-18, 2004

At the base of a secluded valley, Cody, Wyo., is the heart of the American West. Steeped in cowboy culture, Cody is home to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and gateway to the spectacular scenery of Yellowstone National Park.

Sign up for this trip and you'll travel through Hayden Valley, Gibbon Canyon and Yellowstone Lake. You'll witness the awe of geyser basins and scout for moose, buffalo and grizzlies. Experience nature's marvels while studying the unique history and geography of the region. Be prepared for short hikes and some high altitude traveling.

Cody accommodations are at the historic Irma Hotel, built by Buffalo Bill in 1902. You'll travel from Cody to Yellowstone by air-conditioned motor coach and stay overnight in the park at the Old Faithful Frontier Cabins.

Your cost for the Yellowstone Wildlife Safari, covering guided tours, meals and accom-modations, is $682 double occupancy, $819 single occupancy. Transportation from your home to Cody is not included. When signing up, please refer to trip #5275.
