RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has overall responsibilities for the coordination of all contract negotiations for general government, higher education coalition, and several universities within Washington State. Specifically, this position is responsible for lead negotiation duties covering the General Government master contract bargaining table; coordinates negotiations between multiple WFSE bargaining tables; supervises six Labor Advocates responsible for grievance arbitrations, contract and mid-term negotiations. Key liaison between the WFSE and the state Labor Relations Office between contract negotiation cycles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Relations or related field and ten years direct collective bargaining negotiating experience covering multiple and large bargaining units preferred. Supervisory experience of three years or more is required. Additional negotiating experience may be substituted for the required degree. Ability to work long, irregular hours and willingness to travel is a must. Must have a valid driver’s license, use of personal vehicle, and valid vehicle insurance.
