Kathy Garrison – Latham, New York

Capital Region President of Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA)/AFSCME Local 1000. Garrison began her career working for the New York Department of State and became active in union issues. She was elected Executive Vice President of CSEA Local 689 in 1998. Two years later she was elected Capital Region President, and also serves as a Statewide Vice President. Garrison was elected to become an International Vice President (CSEA District) in 2012. A tireless activist with a no-nonsense style, Garrison has been a strong and steady advocate for working families in New York's Capital Region since taking office in 2000.
