What We’re Looking For:

The Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) is recruiting to fill an Associate position located at the WFSE Field Office in Spokane, WA. Reporting to the Field Supervisor, the primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Member card processing.
  • Generation and distribution of new employee and member letters.
  • Correspondence with employers regarding membership processing.
  • Assists in data entry projects using survey software and VAN and uses various resources to improve data integrity.

Accuracy and efficiency are key components for the successful completion of the primary duties of this position. This position also helps with administrative tasks such as:

  • Reception phone coverage.
  • Mail processing.
  • Supply ordering.
  • Scanning, faxing, filing, and copying.
  • Other daily operational needs of WFSE.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in typing and numeric key entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to handle difficult customers and find resources to answer questions.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Special Note:

This position is overtime eligible and may be required to work some weekends. Some travel may be required.  Benefits include annual and sick leave, medical/dental, life, and long term disability insurance, and holidays. Salary range is $39,387 to $48,140 and will be determined commensurate with experience.
