31st International Convention - San Diego, CA (1994)

PEOPLE President's Club/VIP

Resolution No. 19
31st International Convention
June 27-July 1, 1994
San Diego, CA

The Presidents Club, established in 1982, and the VIP level in 1985, is a focal point for all AFSCME members to identify themselves as AFSCME political activists by joining the Presidents Club/VIP through a minimum contribution of $35 and $50 per year respectively; and

Since its inauguration the PEOPLE Presidents Club/VIP has proven to be an incentive for AFSCME members to sign up for PEOPLE checkoff, and is largely responsible for PEOPLE’s fundraising success during the past twelve years; and

More than 60,000 AFSCME members and their families have joined the Presidents Club/VIP in support of AFSCME's political and legislative goals.

That all AFSCME councils, locals, retiree chapters and Presidents Club/VIP members join in an effort to double the number of AFSCME's corps of political activists by renewing their membership and encouraging their brothers and sisters to become members of the Presidents Club/VIP.
