Maintain Social Security Benefits

WHEREAS:

Social Security is a contractual agreement between the contributors and the Social Security System; and

WHEREAS:

People plan for their future financial means with Social Security as an important part of that goal; and

WHEREAS:

Social Security should remain a viable program for all who contribute.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That AFSCME continue to ensure that any major or minor changes to the Social Security System not have a detrimental affect on those who have faithfully contributed to that system.
