AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer Lee A. Saunders to Serve as Treasurer of Leadership Conference on Civil and Human RightsWashington, DC —
The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights (LCCR) announced that AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer Lee A. Saunders has agreed to serve as the Treasurer of the civil and human rights coalition made up of more than 200 national organizations. Since 1950 LCCR has worked to promote and protect the civil and human rights of all persons in the United States, and build a more open and just society.
“It is an honor for me to serve as Treasurer of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, an organization that has been at the forefront of preserving, promoting and protecting hard-won civil and human rights in this country,” said Saunders. “The work of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is impressive and unrivaled.
