Saunders: Gwynne Wilcox will be a ‘fair and steadfast advocate’ on the NLRB for all workers

AFSCME President Lee Saunders issued the following statement upon Senate confirmation of Gwynne Wilcox to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Wilcox will be the first African American woman to serve as an NLRB member:

“As a preeminent labor rights attorney, Gwynne Wilcox will be instrumental in guiding the development of federal labor law and upholding workers’ freedom to form unions. With her experience fighting on the ground for vulnerable workers, all working people will have a fair and steadfast advocate on the National Labor Relations Board. We are lucky to have a leader of her stature join the board, and I am pleased to congratulate Gwynne on her historic appointment.”
