Frank Moroney – Boston, Massachusetts

As a newly hired worker in the Brookline, Massachusetts Water Department, Moroney joined AFSCME Local 1358 in 1967 and was elected Vice President in 1969 and President in 1971. Six years later, when Councils 45 and 41 merged to form Council 93, Moroney was elected treasurer and later joined Council 93's staff as a Staff Representative. He rose through the staff ranks and in August of 2012, the Council 93 Executive Board appointed him as the Executive Director. He became an International Vice President in December of 2012.
