Strong Unions Strengthen Economy
Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich knows that in order to have a strong economy that works for everyone, we need strong unions. Reich explains why unions are important and what we should do to strengthen them in the seventh of 10 videos with ideas about how to strengthen the American economy.
Specifically, Reich urges policy and legal changes that 1) make it easier for workers to unionize; 2) penalize companies that break labor laws; and 3) repeal “right-to-work” laws, which require unions to represent workers who do not pay their fair share.
