Louisiana-Pacific Lumber Company

Resolution No. 220
26th International Convention
June 18-22, 1984
San Francisco, CA

WHEREAS:

Our brothers and sisters working for the Louisiana-Pacific Lumber Company have been on strike for many months. The company has brought in scabs to replace our brothers and sisters, and those scabs have succeeded in forcing decertification elections in eleven locals. This week one local has been decertified, and the other ten are in jeopardy.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

AFSCME expresses its support for our brothers and sisters in their struggle, and supports the boycott of Louisiana-Pacific products called by the International Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
