WHEREAS:

The Comparable Worth Settlement in Washington state was a victory for all workers, especially those in jobs traditionally held by women; and

WHEREAS:

The Comparable Worth precedent set in Washington State has had and will continue to have far-reaching effects; and

WHEREAS:

AFSCME contributed a great deal of time, effort and money to ensure a victory for Comparable Worth in Washington State.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That AFSCME give itself a pat on the back and take pride in the achievement of a Comparable Worth Victory in Washington State.
