The AFL-CI0's Union Privilege was created to develop benefits and services which go beyond the scope of bargaining and has consistently and successfully developed benefit programs that meet the needs of union members. Each year, AFSCME and Union Privilege have expanded and enhanced Union Privilege's membership programs, and now offer a full menu of quality benefits and services. These programs have been met with the overwhelming support of AFSCME members and leaders; and

WHEREAS:

AFSCME also has demonstrated that its AFSCME Advantage program can be used as a tool to attract new members and to help retain current members; and

WHEREAS:

AFSCME Advantage programs have added to the benefits of membership and have thereby strengthened the ties between AFSCME and its members and aided AFSCME in recruiting new members to join.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That AFSCME commits itself to fully supporting the AFSCME Advantage/Union Privilege programs and to keeping AFSCME members informed about the programs.
