WHEREAS:

AFSCME can use more benefits to support organizing efforts; and

WHEREAS:

Other unions provide other benefits such as retirement, supplemental retirement, life insurance, and group buying plans.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That AFSCME create an ad hoc committee to explore, analyze and report on more members only benefits as a tool for organizing and rewarding current members such as, but not limited to, health club memberships, savings for airline prices, computer purchases, discount financial planning benefits, vacation plans, timeshares, supplement retirement plans and life insurance.
