Even Republicans are criticizing Mitt Romney for his attacks on 47% of the American public. Listen to Romney's own words: "There are 47% of the people who believe that they are victims. So my job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives." 150 million Americans - seniors, veterans, the disabled - Romney attacked them when he thought no one else was listening. "My job is not to work about those people." Romney is a millionaire who uses loopholes to pay a lower tax rate than many nurses or police. Romney's plan makes middle class families pay more - $2000 a year - while giving multimillionaires a tax cut of $250,000 a year. Mitt Romney's just not looking out for us.

    New England EMS workers wasted no time in joining their California counterparts as part of United EMS Workers-AFSCME Local 4911 — and they did it with an even bigger margin of victory. Coming on the heels of Wednesday's election in California where EMS workers in 13 counties voted in United EMS Workers-AFSCME with a 77% margin, New England EMS stepped up today with 90% margin in their election results. The coast-to-coast victories total up to 2,300 new AFSCME members in two days. "This is a great victory," said Matt Anderson, a paramedic from Brockton, Mass., "It means we'll be getting more respect for what we do, and for EMS in general it means we're on our way to making this a profession and not just a job."
