Benefits for Temporary Political Action Apprentices

These benefits cover Temporary Political Action Apprentices who are paid a monthly stipend and are hired for at least a one-year term.

The current stipend is $3,900/monthly.

After one year of consecutive service as an Apprentice, salary will increase to $4,000 per month.

Sick Leave:

After the 30th day of employment and at the start of each subsequent employment year, a paid sick balance of 7 days (42 hours) will accrue and a maximum of 7 days per year may be used by the employee.    

Sick leave is not paid out upon separation (end of assignment, termination, voluntary resignation, or any other applicable separation reason).

Holiday Policy:

Apprentices are entitled to all AFSCME Celebrated Holidays.

Medical Benefits:

Single Health Insurance coverage through Cigna to include vision, dental, and prescription.
